Anna and Nate. Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? I shall! Southeast Michigan summer is in full blaze.
And what a BEAUTIFUL Michigan summer's day it was. Full of hot hot sun and strong breezes that brought in a dark cooling storm and rainbows!
Welcome to Nate and Anna's beautiful backyard wedding on their farm in Milan, Mi.
Last year, we took their engagement photos on the farm while soybeans were growing. This year, we had corn buddies. Nate is very proud of them. And he should be! Look at these strong stalks!
I love these beautifully simple wedding decorations. Succulents. Done.
Having seen their homestead last year, I was AMAZED at the progress that they made! The landscaping makes the house sing.
These guys were a trip. They got ready in the garage with no air conditioner and they each get five gold stars.
These ladies made me feel right at home! I’ve never been treated so much like rockstar, lol. “Do you need water? Potato salad? A giant tub of cookie dough??” Yes, yes and more yes.

This farmer cried. And I loved every minute.
Anna and Nate love God fiercely. One of the bridesmaids shared during the reception that the only help that Anna asked for in getting ready for the wedding was prayer for all of their guests. She is an amazing, beautiful, humble, and strong woman.

So I told you it was REAL hot. But then, right after the wedding party’s entrance into the reception, the storm we saw coming LET LOOSE. It stopped raining as dinner was finishing up and then the skies gave us some stunning rainbows! So magical.
Cake time was one of my favorite times. Well, it always is, wedding or no. But at this moment, Nate revealed himself as the trickster that he is. There was NO way that Anna wasn’t going to get a face full. He chased her down! Lol!
As the day folded into night, we snuck away to spend a few moments with the sleepy sun.
Anna and Nate, it was a dream to be with you and your family and friends on this beautiful, magical day.
