For over twelve years, I've photographed people during some of the biggest moments of their lives.
One thing I've learned?
The best photographs happen when people stop worrying about looking perfect.
That's why I keep my sessions relaxed, encouraging, and full of movement. So your gallery looks like your family instead of a collection of stiff poses.
Whether it's your first professional session or your tenth, I'll make the entire experience feel easy and fun.
Your mini session includes:
A 15-minute photo session at Sterling State Park
A beautifully edited online gallery
Your choice of 5 professionally edited digital images to download in high resolution
Personal printing rights, so you can print and share your chosen images wherever you'd like
After you receive your gallery, you'll select your five favorite images. If you fall in love with more than five (and many families do!), you'll have the option to purchase additional images or upgrade to the full gallery.
Your mini session includes your choice of 5 professionally edited digital images.
After your session, I’ll send you a private online gallery where you can view all of the best images from our time together. You’ll simply choose the five you love most, and those will be available for high-resolution download.
Yes! Many families end up falling in love with more than five images, so you’ll have the option to purchase additional images after you receive your proofs.
Once you book, I’ll send a mini session guide with outfit tips and color inspiration.
For Sterling State Park in September, I generally recommend soft, earthy tones like cream, oatmeal, sage, olive, dusty blue, or warm neutrals. The most important thing is that everyone feels comfortable and that your outfits coordinate rather than match exactly.
Avoid large logos, neon colors, and busy patterns if possible.
We’ll meet at Sterling State Park, and I’ll send a detailed confirmation email with the exact meeting location, parking information, and a map pin so you know exactly where to go.
I ask that you arrive 10 minutes early so we can start your session on time.
Because mini sessions are scheduled back-to-back, I’m only able to photograph during your reserved time slot.
If you arrive late, we’ll use whatever time remains, but will affect the number of images you receive, so I highly recommend giving yourself a little extra travel time and arriving 10 minutes early.
If the weather looks questionable, I’ll keep a close eye on the forecast and communicate with everyone well in advance.
If we need to reschedule because of rain or unsafe weather conditions, I’ll offer a backup date or another solution so you don’t lose your session.
Your edited gallery will be delivered within 2 weeks after the session.
You’ll receive an email with a link to your private gallery, where you can view all of your images and choose your favorite five.
Yes! Mini sessions are intentionally short and they’re surprisingly efficient.
I’ve planned these sessions to focus on a handful of beautiful, meaningful moments rather than dozens of different poses. We’ll move quickly, I’ll guide you through the entire process, and you’ll be amazed at how much variety we can create in 15 minutes.
For families with young children, the shorter timeframe is often a huge advantage because it keeps everyone engaged and happy.
Honestly? That's completely normal. I've photographed plenty of families, and some of the sweetest images happen in the in-between moments. Snuggles, giggles, exploring, and even the occasional silly face. While I do aim for at least a few shots where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling, my sessions are relaxed and movement-friendly, so there's very little pressure for anyone to sit perfectly still and smile on command. I'll gently guide you the whole time and work quickly to capture real connection.
These mini sessions are designed for one immediate family, one couple, one senior, or one maternity group per time slot so we can make the most of our 15 minutes together.
I LOVE DOGS. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at Sterling State Park as long as they're leashed and comfortable around people and other dogs.
If you're hoping to include grandparents or a larger extended family group, send me a quick message before booking and I'll help you decide whether a mini session is the right fit or if a full family session would give you a better experience.
